1. My clinical approach is about true healing, wellness, and advancement within the human experience. One does not need the 'excuse' of a condition, symptom, or pain to be accepted to receive this care - just as a person doesn't need a symptom to go to the health club, yoga-meditation class, to eat nutritiously, etc. Greater wellness, somatic awareness, and higher quality of life is what we're ultimately seeking. However, if you are concerned about 'problem' areas in your body then experiencing healing sessions with Dr. Fred has been found to dramatically enhance and accelerate the healing process.
2. With regular care practice members notice:** the healthy and necessary release of old structural patterns and emotions during and after sessions - some comfortable, some uncomfortable, but an important process for the short and long term experience of healing and wellness. Just maintain an attitude of wonder and gratitude and go through it. Experiencing more sessions not less can only help one move more quickly and effectively through any uncomfortable phases of the healing process. Common experiences include:
~ more inner calm and centeredness coupled with greater energy
~ more comfortable inside their own skin
~ less 'alarm signals' of pain, pressure, tension, and ache in the body
~ increased ability of the physiology to quickly recover from stress and tension
~ a more robust and efficient immune system
~ more depth of connection to self and others leading to greater life enjoyment
~ more openness, compassion, and love experienced on a daily basis
~ increased ability to 'feel' and therefore 'heal' all layers of the Bodymind
~ a growing refinement, depth, and expansion of perception, perspective, insight, and wisdom, i.e. profound self-discovery.
~ less of a static, worrisome, chattering mind... more quiet serene awareness.... 'inner peace'
~ greater access to internal resources, spiritual insights, and healthier life-supporting choices
3. Before blaming our aches and pains on 'tight' muscles we must realize that muscles do NOT have a mind of their own – they get there instructions from the nervous system. They go into spasm as a 'protective or defensive' mechanism dictated by the brain and spinal cord for 'survival' or 'coping' reasons. Once the central nervous system moves from 'defense' to 'safety' the muscles receive that signal and then change spontaneously back to normal tone.
4. The difference between a 'patient' vs. 'practice member' is as follows:
A patient wants merely to be put back to the place before a symptom or condition occurred... a 'practice member' will not tolerate that place anymore since that was the Bodymind state that initiated their problem to begin with. A practice member desires to move ahead and advance their Bodymind complex to a new level of life experience.
5. “WE WEAR OUR BIOGRAPHY AS OUR BIOLOGY”. The way we hold ourselves with fight/flight & defensive non-productive patterns, and amount and quality of tension and emotion trapped or locked within the body (especially the spine and nervous system) is directly associated with our quality of life, health, and wellness. Dr. Fred's clinical approach to spinal health creates greater somatic (body) awareness. With this richer inner connection the system spontaneously unwinds stress and tension and uses the trapped energy as fuel for healing and transformation.
6. The 'wave' phenomenon is not a measure of success... even those people who do not experience an obvious outward wave process have significant healing changes in their Bodymind. There are many other clinical signs of progress which re-exams demonstrate.
7. This healing method is a crucial ingredient to anyone's 'wellness equation'. Research has shown that receiving this approach alone has double the impact on wellness then a healthy lifestyle alone. Obviously a clear, tension-free, flexible, adaptable spine and nervous system is necessary to maximize the use of any other healthy life-style element...ie: diet, exercise, yoga, meditation, eliminating 'risk' behavior, nutritional supplements, etc.
8. REMEMBER: THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR DIRECT EXPERIENCE... observing others may be interesting, but having our own personal experience is the what makes it REAL and VALUABLE. So feel free to always talk about the benefits to your friends and bring them into the office to observe, ask questions, and begin care themselves at that time or at a later date.
